A simple, meaningful gift, shared in loving voices
A Gift for Someone in Hospice, Made From Loving Voices
Honor the life and legacy of someone you love with stories and messages they can hear right now. For someone receiving hospice care or living with a terminal or life-limiting illness, family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, faith communities, and others can share memories, appreciation, encouragement, gratitude, laughter, and prayers. LifeOnRecord brings those familiar voices together on one private Playlist Page. The person receiving the gift does not need to be interviewed or record anything themselves.
- Invite loved ones near and far to record in the way that works for them
- Your account, dial-in number, and invitation number are ready right away after purchase
- Share the private Playlist Page after the first messages arrive, then keep adding more voices

A simple gift, created by the people who know them best.
One person starts the project and invites others to take part. Loved ones record stories and messages in their own voices, and the person you are honoring simply listens. It is a simple, meaningful way to celebrate the life and legacy they have built and let them hear what they mean to people right now.
01
Invite
Bring together the people who know them in different ways
A spouse, adult child, sibling, close friend, or another trusted person can start the project. Invite family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, members of a faith community, and others who have been part of their life. People can join from nearby or around the world without gathering in one place.
02
Record
Give everyone an easy place to begin
A favorite memory, a few words of appreciation, encouragement, gratitude, a prayer or blessing, or even an inside joke can become a wonderful message. No polished speech is needed, and the person receiving the gift does not have to record anything.
03
Listen
Share the first voices while more are being added
As soon as the first call-in messages arrive, you can share the private Playlist Page. New messages appear as they are recorded, so the gift can keep growing without waiting for everyone to finish.

Ready right away
Begin gathering voices right away.
Your account, shared toll-free number, and invitation number are ready as soon as you purchase. Loved ones can begin calling from their own phones, and each new call-in recording is available to hear right away. Share the first messages whenever you are ready, then keep adding more voices over time. When Cynthia went looking for a hospice gift for her sister Jane, she chose LifeOnRecord. Jane heard messages from former colleagues, friends, and family.
- Start with a few people, then invite others as you go
- See each call-in message appear in My Recordings
- Let your loved one begin listening while more messages are being added
- Start with digital messages right away, then add a physical keepsake later
“Jane received several calls from her former colleagues, friends, and family to her Life on Record 800 message line.”

Help each person find the words.
Most people have a story, a thank-you, or a small moment worth sharing. A simple prompt can help them begin. Choose one or two that fit the relationship, and let each person make the message their own.
- What is a favorite story the two of you share?
- What do you admire or appreciate about them?
- What would you like to thank them for?
- Which familiar saying, tradition, song, or everyday moment brings them to mind?
- What still makes the two of you laugh?
- What prayer, blessing, or message from your faith tradition would you like to share?
- What would a friend, colleague, neighbor, student, or community member want them to know?
There is no right tone or format. A message can be heartfelt, funny, spiritual, or simply true to the relationship.

Your place to bring the messages together
Keep it a surprise, or share the gift as it grows.
My Recordings is where you can see and listen to the messages people send. If the gift is a surprise, keep the account and Playlist Page link within the organizing group until you are ready to share it. You can add names or titles, arrange the order, trim a recording, or remove one if you choose, but none of that is required.
- Listen as messages arrive and add familiar names or titles if helpful
- Search and edit transcripts, then export them as a PDF
- Reorder or trim a recording, move it to the trash, or restore the original if you choose
- Download individual MP3s, all recordings in a ZIP, or one combined MP3

Bring together voices from anywhere, with simple ways to listen and save the recordings.
The people who matter may live across town or around the world. LifeOnRecord gathers their messages in one place, provides audio care for call-in recordings and recordings made on a LifeOnRecord phone, and gives you several ways to listen, share, and save the collection.
One LifeOnRecord project connects the people you invite, the messages they send, and the private Playlist Page you share.
Reach
Welcome voices from near and far
No LifeOnRecord phone is needed. Loved ones can use the recording option that works best for them, wherever they live.

- Send a voice note through WhatsApp

Care
A little extra care for recordings made by phone
When someone calls LifeOnRecord or uses a LifeOnRecord phone, a real person listens and tidies the audio when useful. Recordings sent by email or website upload still belong alongside every other message.
- Human review for call-in and LifeOnRecord phone messages
- Clearer, more even sound when a recording needs it
- Searchable transcripts you can correct and save as a PDF
- Original recordings kept, too
Keep
Listen now and save your own copies
The private Playlist Page makes it easy to listen on a phone, tablet, or computer. You can also download the recordings to keep, with or without a Keepsake Speaker or LifeOnRecord phone.
- One private Playlist Page to share with the people you choose
- Download one message, the whole collection, or one continuous recording
- Online access stays open for the full account term
- After online access ends, LifeOnRecord archives the recordings instead of deleting them

A page made for listening
Share one private link filled with familiar voices.
The Playlist Page is where the person you love can open and listen to the messages. It works on a phone, tablet, or computer, with no account login or special app needed. Call-in recordings appear as they are made, so you can share the first messages and keep adding more. If you want, you can give the recordings titles and arrange the listening order.
- Share the unique Playlist Page link whenever you are ready
- Play one message or let the recordings continue one after another
- Read transcripts and download individual recordings or one combined file
- Remember that anyone with the link can open it, so share it only with people you choose
Start with the voices. Add a keepsake only if it feels right.
The $99 LifeOnRecord service includes the complete digital experience: inviting people, gathering their messages in My Recordings, sharing the private Playlist Page, using transcripts, and downloading the audio. A Keepsake Speaker and LifeOnRecord phone are optional, so you can begin with the digital gift alone.

LifeOnRecord voice gift
$99
Invite loved ones, bring their messages together, share the private Playlist Page, and download the recordings. It is a simple, meaningful way to honor someone's life and legacy in the voices of people who know them. No physical product is required.

Optional: Keepsake Speaker
$49 optional
For a dedicated way to press play, add a Keepsake Speaker now or later. It is never required. The Playlist Page and downloads are ready for listening without it.

Optional: Vintage or retro phone
$149-$199 optional
A vintage or retro phone can become an in-person recording station at a gathering. It does not play recordings, and its messages are added only after the phone is returned to LifeOnRecord. Loved ones can begin calling or contributing online without waiting for it.
Questions people often ask
You can keep the gift simple, start with just a few voices, and share it before every message has arrived. Here is how it works.
Who can start this gift, and who can take part?
A spouse, adult child, sibling, close friend, or another trusted person can start the project. Family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, faith communities, and others who have been part of their life can contribute. The gift is for the person you love – someone receiving hospice care or living with a terminal or life-limiting illness – to listen to whenever they choose.
Do they need to be interviewed or record their own story?
No. The people who love them do the recording. They can simply listen to stories, memories, appreciation, encouragement, gratitude, laughter, and prayers.
Can the project be a surprise?
Yes. Keep the My Recordings login and Playlist Page link within the organizing group while messages arrive. Share the Playlist Page when you are ready. You may add titles, arrange the order, or remove a recording, but those steps are optional.
How can people contribute from different places or countries?
Family and friends can contribute from wherever they are. They can send a voice note through WhatsApp, email a recording, upload one on the website, or call LifeOnRecord. The toll-free number works in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean, and local numbers are available in many countries.
How soon can we begin recording and listening?
Your account, dial-in number, and invitation number are ready right away after purchase, so loved ones can begin calling without waiting for a shipment. Each new call-in message appears on the same Playlist Page as it is recorded, while more voices continue to arrive.
Who can open the Playlist Page?
The Playlist Page has its own hard-to-guess link, and the person listening does not need an account login. Anyone with the link can open it, so share it only with the people you choose. You can also turn Playlist Page visibility off from your account.
Can I organize or edit the recordings?
Yes, if you want to. In My Recordings, you can listen, add names and titles, edit transcripts, change the order, trim, remove, restore, and download recordings. Call-in recordings and recordings made on a LifeOnRecord phone receive human review, noise reduction, volume leveling, and speech enhancement when useful. Emailed and uploaded recordings join the project but may not receive that same audio care. None of these organizing steps is required.
What does LifeOnRecord cost, and is a physical product required?
LifeOnRecord is $99 and includes the recording options, My Recordings, audio care for call-in and LifeOnRecord phone recordings, transcripts, the Playlist Page, and downloads. A $49 Keepsake Speaker and a $149-$199 phone rental are optional. Everything needed to begin digitally is included without either physical product.
How long do the account and recordings remain available?
Your account and dial-in number stay active until the later of one year from signup or three months after the date provided with the order. While the account is active, you can download recordings as often as needed. When online access ends, LifeOnRecord archives the recordings rather than deleting them, and they can be restored.
What if plans or circumstances change while messages are still arriving?
You can share the first voices whenever you are ready and continue adding messages while the account is active. You do not need to make decisions now about any different future use. If you want help later, LifeOnRecord support can explain the options available then.
